Help with TV, Size and viewing angle.
I have a pretty standard Victorian Terrace house and I'd like a new TV. As much as I'd like to go the whole hog and have a drop down projector screen in front of the bay window - blue square, it just doesn't make sense.
So, below is a picture of where I'd like the TV, the white line - 48" - is the optimum position, unless someone can convince me to mount it over/into the fireplace.
Usual seating position is the brown - or red as I'm colour blind - square or the grey rectangle. The white square is a coal fire that does get used.
Measurements of the area behind the white line are.. right to left
300mm
1170mm
665mm
I'd like the TV to fill that gap as far as possible and still be watchable from the brown square. Also, I have nice speakers on the walls - the orange blobs - is there any way to utilise some or all of them.
More than 1 HDMI input would be great as I can alredy think of two things I'd like to plug in.
Any ideas appreciated, no great rush but would like it in for my Birthday at the end of January. Budget isn't unlimited as I'm a stingy *******.
TIA

if your looking at home cinema, your gonna have some probs...
ideally the speakers shouls be either side of the tv, not in each corner, as it will goive virtually no soundstage..
best thing for you is to nip down to whsmiths and get what home cinema, or similar .. they used to do a layout guide each month showing differnt room layouts, and how to set up using that layout.
the tv in the corner is a common scenario
