The cold!?!
What are everyones tips on keeping warm now the climate seems to have taken a turn for the worse..... having to get up 20 mins earlier to get all the ice off my car, grrrr
Tesco sell pockets warmers for about 99p each which are like a little bean bag which slots onto your pocket and heats up anf lasts for about 4 hours or so maybe longer.
I have the usual woolly hat, gloves and a huge coat, as you can tell i HATE the cold....anyone got any other tips....

Thermal underwear..................I kid you not. http://www.damart.co.uk/portal/page?..._schema=PORTAL
Also, de-ice the car with a watering can full of hot/warm water, NOT too hot, obviously. Takes about 15 seconds to do the whole lot. I start mine and leave it running with front demister and rear screen on, before pouring the water.
I'm ready for off within 30 seconds. Don't forget the wing mirrors.
I only use de-icer if I'm away from the house, and even then I'll beg warm water if at a mate's etc.

If I was reffering to that head, I'd have said bell end .
Incidentally, did you know that heat loss via the bell in depends on whether you are a roundhead, or cavalier.

BTW, don't use warm water to de-ice your car, normal cold tap water is warm enough to de-ice your car and won't shatter the glass.

ok, point noted.....to be fair, mine is a crappy diesel van worth about 3k. If I did it with anything else then perhaps a steering wheel locking device?

If you work or stay outdoors throughout the day then the best thing is a string vest/t shirt with a thermal full sleeve top under a jumper.A scarf and wooly hat is a must.Long johns tucked into a pair of sox with a second pair of socks realy helps too.
I normally find that the sillier you end up looking, the warmer you are.
If you work in in a building then theres not much to worry about.....
