Give the phone network a ring. I doubt they'll tell you who it is, but they can put a block on the number. If you get the police involved then they should be able to get the number and have a word with whomever is sending the messages.

That's the sensible thing to do. What's more fun is you pay a private detective 50 to track the person down. Some are no win no fee, so if they don't find them you haven't lost anything. If somebody is pestering your mum with filth then they might pursue other less traceable avenues to continue their campaign if the number is blocked. Anyway, I'd like to know who's ******* around not just bar their calls.

Do a search for this online and youll get some kind of response I guarantee.

Alternatively, get the police to track the person down as I'm sure it breaks some sort of harrassment/decency laws. It's only a question of if they can be bothered.

i would also like to know who it is,im not talking about 1 or 2 texts here shes got about 50 very graphic texts. (she did reply to explain who she was etc incase the sender had the wrong number but then she got even more)

i think all texts from a phone have to have a number attached. Sounds like the perpetrator is using a web text gateway. Bit harder to track and nearly untraceable.

You lot sure it isn't one of these expensive numbers and is costing you all about £50 a call ?
Like the fax idea....... hopefully all these incomings will make the perv think twice before winding up someone else.
