You can't tag me. . . I like to wear skirts
A teenager who broke her bail conditions has avoided having to wear an electronic tag after arguing that it would look "stupid" with a skirt.
The Crown Prosecution Service asked for 18-year-old Natasha Hughes to be tagged after breaching a curfew condition which states that she must answer her front door to police whenever they call. But her lawyer said the tag would be visible, look odd and affect her dress sense. Worcester magistrates agreed to let her off. Hughes said: "I didn't want to wear a tag because they are really bulky and embarrassing. I like to wear skirts which means people can see it and it looks stupid."
Hughes, who is accused of grievous bodily harm against another woman, admitted breaching the terms of her bail by not answering the door at 2.35am on Nov 1.
She said she was asleep at the time.
Michael Foster, the Labour MP for Worcester said: "If she is worried about her dress sense perhaps she should stop breaking the conditions of her bail."

So there you go - next time they attempt to charge you with speeding, just say it would be embarassing to obey the speed limit and they'll have to let you off

Depends if they had good reason to be knocking on her door at that time in the morning I suppose. Perhaps she'd been seen somewhere she shouldn't have been that evening. Who knows
Anyway the moral is don't go around beating people up if you don't want to wear a tag with your mini-skirt

If she doesn't like the incovenience of having a curfew imposed she could always go to jail, or better yet, not have assaulted anybody in the first place.

No tag, no freedom, do not pass go, do not collect a new burberry cap, go straight to the free holiday in spain... oops, sorry, "Jail"
Seriously though, if she is meant to be able to have her freedom because she'll be tagged, she should be tagged, so what if she looks silly, she's a criminal, she should have no rights. If she had some allergic reaction to the tag then maybe not wearing one would be acceptable, but saying it'd ruin her dress style is pathetic, and her freedom should be curtailed and she placed in prison, simple.
