A) Been tougher on Immigration.

B) Taken the stance, 30 years ago that the French have towards their immigrants now.

C) Been less active with political correctness/do gooder mentality.

D) Maintained OUR culture, as like France, stating that if YOU wish to live here, then YOU accept OUR culture and do NOT force YOURS on US. (remember, it's not illegal to be a Muslim or whatever in France - however it IS illegal if those cultures intrinse on French law).




How would Britain be now do you think....??

All these other threads on here, day in, day out, the same people (me included) arguing the same points, on the same topics, about the same people.

This thread is a result of all the "Zzz Zzzzz" threads that are on here day in, day out (that I am partly responsible for).

So, lets all say it how it is, without fear of being accused racist etc.

I'm with you big man, i think it's idiocy by those who zzzz a thread like this. I can only see that what you propose is right and proper for our nation, it is NOT RACIST, it is US trying to get back some of OUR national identity before it is diluted completely.
It may be the same old ground but it is so important that i'm more happy to keep typing the same responses and backing up those who have the right idea and hope that others will actually give a **** about the state of our nation as things stand and of course the impending and continuing down turn if it carries on.

I have more of a problem with "our own" you know the idiots in a full white tracksuit abd baseball cap... the ones who hang around on street corners picking fights on ones they think they can get away with it. Joy riding (nicking YOUR car) vandalising the street.... you think all this wouldnt exsist if we didnt have immigrants???? we'd still be a country who are too soft on the youth of today and let them rule us rather than the other way round...

Yes, however I feel the whole big picture has contributed to the rise of people like this.

Countries with high immigration - high crime, bad attitudes.

Countries like, for example "Sweden" - barely need Police!!

I'm not blaming immigrants specifically - I'm blaming immigration on the whole.

 

I think we have an absolute right to support and maintain our own national identity and culture in the face of these Roman sandal wearing incredibly stupid PC prats who are trying their best to drag our country down with pronouncements that even the immigrants don't agree with and are totally confused about.

You seem to think that:

a) Britain is taking in more than its fair share of immigrants
b) Immigrants are somehow 'optional'

We know of you (hard) right-wing views and many are probably sick of hearing them, myself included.

 

Businesses have grown and prospered due to immigration.
We are ALL immigrants. Trace your roots, none of you came from these shores.

There are, of course, problems with ILLEGAL immigration. Another matter entirely and something the government need to address strongly.

The question is, are there enough legal immigrants and refugees here to support our economy or are there too many? Let's look at the unemployed, the majority are white 'brits', not immigrants.

Basically, we've always NEEDED immigration. How much is down to work, economics, growth etc.

 

That's hardly surprising though is it. I was working alonside some Poles this week who were working for just over £3 an hour which in my mind is bloody appalling.

Can a multi-cultural society ever exist in harmony I don't think so You only have to look locally to find resentment, hatred and anger, albeit diluted throughout history but nevertheless it's there. The Scots hate the English, the English hate the Welsh, don't mention the Irish. We all know how we feel about the French and their reciprocated emotions, and as for Germany All of these are our neighbours and we can't get on, so what chance do people who come from far afield, speaking languages we cannot understand, following religions which historically conflict with our own and introducing cultures alien and often hostile to our own. When cultures clash, and language barriers impede the outcome will never be pleasant. What is happening in France has surprised me, but only so far as I thought it would happen here first.

No one is blaming ALL our problems on immigration, i think the main point is that immigrants should learn to integrate and learn our language and live by our culture. I don't and shouldn't expect to have to muddle through a conversation with someone living here who can't speak english properly, if you live here learn it

Davegtt, i can only say you're very lucky if you aren't effected by any of this, i guess ignorance is bliss.
I wish i hadn't grown up around the scum of the earth who i have, but i didn't get a choice where to live when i was born. I could give you many examples of bad experiences put on me by asians, it is these experiences which shape my opinions not the colour of someone's skin.
