Samsung D500
Hi,
What do you folks think of the Samsung D500 ?? How will/does it compare to the Motorola Razor ??
Read a few reviews but wanted to get a people feel for the phone.
Thanks
Dean

My Son has a D500
The wife has a Razor
The Razor looks the part but IMO it's an absolute PIG! to use.
The D500 I reckon is a better phone of the 2 but personally I don't think you'll ever beat a Nokia for usability(If that's a word)
Only IMHO of course!

Quite a chunky phone, camera good though, big screen, but as others have said, woudl go for a Nokia personally, 6230i still does the job.

As a phone the Razor is fine, depends what you want, its only got a .3 megapixel camera and doesn't do videos. So for piccys and videos the Samsung is better
Got a Nokia N70 yesterday and it looks

if your want a 'thin' phone the D500 is anything but. pain in the **** to carry as its too thick.
K750i much better, thinner, better features.
Razor easiest to carry, worse features of the 3

One of my current phones is a D500 its a bit bulky and its tells you hundreds of times by an annoying beep that the battery is going flat, same as my Moto V600 hundred I wouldn't by either make again just because of the beep!

Razor has only 5mb memory so you can barely store one decent ringtone, and there's no way of increasing memory!
Samsung 500 streets ahead IMHO.

Both myself & the other half have D500's.. (mine is black and his is silvery-grey so no we are not matching!!!)
Quite a good phone but the new version on the telly ad looks a bit nicer...(D600??) Only thing i have found is that the casing gets marked really easily..

I have the D500 - other half has the V3.
I prefer mine, he prefers his!!
I know that the D500 can survive quite well from being dropped, kicked and bathed (my more phone has gone through quite a lot!) and still works!
Having had Nokia for the past 8 years, the D500 is just as easy as a Nokia to operate although the 'games' are utter tripe and the currency convertor only does euro zone currencies so no GBP conversions on the fly.

Well , I took the plunge & bought one. camera & Video are great. Predictive text not so great, The Razor spells the whole word for you after a few charactors, with the D500 you still have to spell the whole word. Each time you go into text mode you have to select T9Eng defaults to ENG, You cannot change the clock style/position so as to not obscure the top of the screen..
But you can make & receive calls !!!
