Fox hunters showing their true colours!

Hunting to keep the fox population down? My ar$e! Its about the kill and thats proved by the fact those who do this "sport" now wish to do it abroad as they can't legally do it in the UK. This just about sums it up for me and flushes their previous defences down the pan.
Its nothing to do with population control and helping farmers. Its about the chase and blood thirsty kill which is exactly why they are now wishing to go abroad to places such as France to do it. Or are they now worried about the fox population in France becoming too high?
Absolute muppets thinking their original defences would be believed and then to go and prove they were talking b0ll0cks by going abroad to do it

I see no one commented on a race horse being flogged to death last week and how upset its toffee nosed owner was that it had a heart attack from being pushed too hard but then again thats ok isnt it as its a sport.
It will be shooting and fishing next that gets banned, pro foxhunters only make the excuses up as its the start of a pc slippery slope that we will all end up being tree hugging veggie bores soon

Fox hunting was a victim of political correctness and people who thought they were "doing the right thing" by protecting the fluffy little foxes.
Fox hunting should never have been banned. There is no level headed reason for it to be banned. The lentilist hunt protesters need a 12 bore to the knackers so they can't produce similarly persuaded offspring.
Makes me mad, in case you hadn't noticed. Lets hope future governments revoke the ban and give the countryside some of it's tradition back.

Oh dear, Matt, I think you're showing a bit of "upper class twittery" there
It WASN'T banned to protect poor fluffy foxes.
It WAS banned because of the barbarous way they so called "hunters" went about it.
Foxes can still be legally killed.
Just not torn to bits after being chased miles and miles.
Britain is a civilised country, and quite rightly, got rid of what was, in effect, making us a laughing stock.
And please............no comments about the supposed class issue here. You don't see the lower classes and chavs doing it, do you?

Well the animal rights people are already moving onto banning fishing. Hunting wasn't particularly barberous, and the death of the fox was quick. No more barberous than a fox going after a load of chickens.

A previous girlfriend of mine from Dorset had a father who was a truck driver. He was country born and bred and lived in a council house. He could have been described as "salt of the earth".
At weekends he borrowed a horse and was Whipper In for the local hunt. He was far from alone in being a working class huntsman. It seems it's only a "class thing" for those who are anti- hunting.

Matt, if you want countryside tradition, you should sell your Teutonic coalburner and get about in a horse and trap.
There are various answers for and against - as we *yawn* know in NSR - but tradition shouldn't be one of them, it's a non-argument that is used to justify slavery, non-voting or working women, etc etc.

If a fox kills chickens, I accept that's barbarous, but the fox is an ANIMAL....it doesn't know any better. We do (allegedly).

TBH honest, the "ban" has made little difference. Hunting is currently at an all time high. They have discovered that, as long as they have a bird of prey with them, it's all OK. So any betting on what purchase most of the hunts have now made?

You own a cat for your own enjoyment, despite knowing that animals are dieing because of it. Your personal enjoyment is causing animals to die. A hypocrite you are sir!

As a hunter/shooter/fisherman I don't acknowledge the 'animal cruelty' argument coming from people like you who's selfishness leads to the death of indigenous wildlife over and above what is naturally sustainable.
You should know that by now you dullard!

Actually, there ARE a few farmers, come to think of it...........usually travelling at 15mph with a huge trailer and tractor, on the main roads around here at rush hour!
