Fireworks
Going to a house warming/bonfire night party next week been told to bring a bottle and "Fireworks"
I’m thinking rather than buying a selection box I want one mahoosive anti aircraft style multishot thingy.
Anyone know of any good firework shops in the West Mid's???

Sticky Micky and Daryl - I salute you.
Where else other than in some God forsaken British towns will you find grown adults standing in a freezing field going "ooohhhh" and "aaaahhh" like 1200 AD pesants
Fireworks are so not cool if you're older than 13.

Ive never been in to Fireworks until last year when I bought a £25 pack half price.
They were there and i was only buying milk and thought ahh what the hell, my little boy will like them.
So off i trot home with them and that evening we went in to the garden and set them off. They wernt big or that spectacular, but my boy got massive enjoyment out of them, even though he didnt like the loud ones.
He loved them and has asked for some this year, so i will be buying a small pack for him
So when you see them being set off, remember that there may be just some little 5 yrs old sharing a moment with his dad. and not just some chav throwing them around in a park.
Happy Firework Night

Here's a though.
Why not take him to a big "safe" display? Would he not enjoy that more? Getting out the house, going out as a family, dressing up warm etc? Maybe have a meal as a family after?
All that for the same cost of cheap old fireworks in the garden!

No, I imagine the fact of not knowing which relative you will injure adds to the enjoyment.

Mine will be let off in a safe area. I will be wearing PPE. And 30+ kids will have a fantastic time seeing the fireworks and having a BBQ.

...I reckon a big one could still go out of control, and blind someone
Does anyone have that small movie of the dog that picks up a firework and it goes of while it's in his mouth (no harm done)? Now thats comedy!

Fireworks & firing public displays is one of my jobs so know a bit about these things.
If you can find a shop locally to you selling Panda Fireworks, they are a very good & reliable brand. You want to be asking for a Single Ignition Cake. If you have about £30 to spend & want just one firework, then you will have to go a long way to better one called The Escalator.
All these fireworks are Catagory 3 explosives, & you really need 25m from the spectators. Do not buy anything that is decribes as Catagory 4 explosive. These are for proffesional use only & the ignition fuses are very VERY fast.... 600m per second type fast!!!
If any of you Scoobynetters out there want to drop me a PM, with any questions I'll help you where I can.

Ha ha Yve,
They might do the job, I wish I had a few of those Mighty Atoms and Cannonball Crackers left. We used to used them on the back on a spade lying down to shoot Tate and Lyle tins onto the tin roof of our local garage and then run away and hide
