The Ex - embarrasing stories you've later found out...
I will be coming face-to-face with my Ex-girlfriend next week - in a very important professional meeting.
That's not so bad as far as I am concerned. We both work in retail in different locations. We've only seen each other twice in passing since splitting six months ago, although there is still a possibility we may have to work together, or at least meet for district meetings, however, it's rosey as far as I am concerned - no bitterness or malice whatsoever.
Either way, it doesn't bother me that I'll be stuck in the same room as my Ex for 9 hours, plus having to share lunch and dinner with her (especially due it being on the business).
But tonight I found out something that is definately embarrasing to her that I wish I hadn't found out about as it means that I am going to be trying to hide a wry-smirk all day, let alone trying not to make sly comments...
To cut a long story short, the Ex has been at another branch of our company, that of my boss's old assistant manager (my current role) who is now in herself a manager. Anyway, while the old assistant (now new) manager is on holiday, the other assistant who works alongside me will be covering her outlet (I'm on holiday myself) but he's been given a rule-book to follow. One instruction on it is to make sure my ex is not taking customers into private areas.
Why? Because she got caught sh@gging on the safe!!!!! FPMSL! How am I going to refrain/restrain myself from a giggle, let alone a grin or sordid comment in the meeting? "Hope it was safe sex" springs to mind already!
I don't think I've ever laughed so much!!! So anyway, has anyone else found out something embarrasing about an Ex partner which they wish they hadn't? Share your stories please!

Surely if she's been caught, then some form of conduct procedure would have kicked in, and she would have possibly faced the sack?
But if your company has a book with her name in, that gives reference to such a private and obviously embarassing matter, then they leave themselves wide open for a case of gross harrassment and bullying against your ex!
Does she know this "rule" exists?
If such a thing were to happen where I work (royal mail) we'd be taken to the cleaners by the union
Sorry to put a damper on the thread, but how embarassing is that for her
chris.

In all fairness, excuse the double entendre, but she may have already been taken to task over the safe issue
Perhaps it was deemed too sensitve to take any further.
Either way, VERY funny because it's not me

The english language is a wonderful thing.
The application of a single word in many different contexts is one of my favourite aspects.
With regard to the word "safe" then the world is your lobster.
For example:
If the concept of a risky business venute comes up try voicing the comment "You want a SAFEr idea than that, very risky"
Or, how about being for the idea, but with the caveat of a "SAFEty net" should it all go wrong.
But dont forget involving other departments to make sure everyone has bottomed out the idea "I was wondering what health and SAFEty's take on this might be"
Be on the look out for your collegues welfare yourself too "I think it may work, but dont take unnecessary risks. Remember, SAFEty first"
astraboy.

"Safe sex" jokes aplenty I feel.... must keep mouth shut!
Then again my level of humour is somewhere around the toilet. [Even tonight when putting up the halloween decorations, I've left a cardboard cut-out of a vampire posing with a balloon **** in his hand... (it amused the manager and myself anyway...)]
