getting a repeat prescription for someone else
My Girlfriend is abroad at the moment.
I'm not sure how doctor's handle this, but basically i need to get a repeat prescription for her, posted to her home address in the Uk, so i can then go and collect the medicine and send it to her.
Is this possible.. can i ring up on her behalf and ask for her repeat prescription?
Any advice appreciated.
thanks

I have a repeat 'script which is issued everytime I collect a prescription. I just tick stuff needed and drop this in the surgery - doesn't need signing and then collect from chemist. Do you have a repeat script form? I guess you could just drop into surgery or post through with sae (with g/f name on front) and they should send it to you. Probably best if you included copy of script if posting overseas or some jobsworth Spaniel may start to wonder. There's probably an official method to do this overseas if she is in EC but I don't know what this is. dl

Not sure what you're referring to, but be careful, some of the "more potent" medicines are illegal to send by post. The receiving country's post office might not like them either.
If you're asking about Lemsips then ignore the above
