Scamra van again.
Surely this is more proof of money being the objective.
Dual carriageway in Northampton (mereway) on one side is a secondary school. there has been a scamra van there most days this week from 08:15/30 for an hour or so.
A good idea i hear you say well yes. I think schools are an ideal place however it is
HALFTERM - NO KIDS AT THE SCHOOL!!!
Hardly ever see one during a school morning and i go that way pretty much everyday. i estimate once evey two weeks or so, three times this week the van has been in place.

I have even seen it there before 7am. And again at 6pm, when the traffic is stationary.
And this from a Police force who are failing miserably.

Spotted it the other night when I went to Tescos and that was near 8pm!
A for the BBC report, how can Northants police be bad at promoting road traffic safety?
I thought they were OTT already.

It's there for no other reason than it's an excellent place to catch people and generate revenue. Just happens to be near a school.
I've never heard of one incident on that stretch of road!!

This si the first one i have heard of. I have lived at wootton fields for 8+ years now. I use this road all the time and i have not seen another accident.
The Police would be better off catching the people who jump the red lights right outside the force HQ on Mereway. They get jumped all day every day. I have had several near misses. around one a month.
The roundabout in question has 7 on/off points and just two camera lights. What about the other 5 points?. The roundaobut is also very busy and is part of the ring road which serves the A45 M1 j15 M1 j15a.
No money in that though is there.
