Default Embarrassing question

Hi

This is really quite shame full and I do apologise!

I have 3 cans of beer in the fridge and they're all out of date! They're roughly a yearish out of date, one's Skol (left by a friend after a party and I suspect it was old when left...to be honest I'm not fussed about this one anyway! ) the other two are Boddingtons. What will happen if I drink em, will I die or owt?

Cheers! :thumb;

Ive seen four year out of date Stella drunk and it was OK; pour into a glass first though and dont drink it unless it looks OK. This post makes you look tighter/poorer than Pikey Pete btw!

Personally, I'd use the Skol as screen wash or anti-freeze in the car Bob

Beer in my fridge only lasts about 24 hrs

I'd drink them if I were you......obviously had time to mature

Never heard of anyone dying from old beer

Someone I know has some bottles of beer from over 20 years ago - and apparently they are superb!

I wouldnt chance it tho - you might find yourself spending the day on the toilet!

Do what I do. Have a party, and then offer them to friends as the fridge gets emptier. "Sorry guys, all I've got left is this, do you think it's OK?"

I avoided wasting a crate that way

How true,

Never seen what people see in Beer! Money saved for petrol or a real drink like a Black Russian!

A good Question.

Here's an analogy - If Les was a fine wine then PS Lewis would be a pint of carling that's been standing overnight

Besides, whats the fuss, people drink Kronenburg (Sp?) 1664 every weekend with only reports of headaches and nausea! So a beer that's a year or so old ain't gonna hurt!
:-D

P.S. Please don't quote me on that in A&E :-)

my other half leaves all the out of date food for me to finish off, hate to throw it out, cut mould off chesse and bread etc, but i draw the line at maggots, found some one day at work in some fruit, in an NHS fridge, nice surprise that was!
