Talking out of his a**e - last 2 cars I traded took tax out dealer was fine about it, in fact he was the one who told me to do it so that I was not out of pocket! Lets face how many dealer cars have tax in them - very few because if tax is left in they send it back to DVLA and pocket the refund. Alternatively ask him to knock a little more off the rpice of the car you are purchasing.

He's a ****; it belongs to you; which the DVLA will confirm by way of an unused-month refund cheque. Tell him to f*ck off!

If the car is priced with the tax disc on, then its part of the deal and should be left on the car.
Its not a problem if you want to take it off so long as you let the dealer know.
But once deal is done you shouldn't start stripping bits of the car.

If the dealer started leaving bits off after the deal was done you would soon be on here about robbing dealer *******s

Ye depends if you agreed a price with the tax. However if your trading in chances are your getting done over anyway, park it outside on the day and whip the disk out and head off to enjoy your new motor!

Are you being sold a car with tax or did they make you pay for your new tax?
