Removing Scratches From Glass?

Removing Scratches From Glass?
If one had a glass product and accidentally scratched it with, say, a scouring pad.
How would one go about smoothing out thiose scratches?
I have used T-Cut and its helped a bit ...... any ideas?

3000 grit wet&dry-->eucryl toothpowder-->regular toothpaste-->T cut
copious amounts of elbow grease. What is the item thats scratched?

useed toothepaste and about 4 or so hours of my life to remove a scratch from a crt tube before.

Try some rubbing down compond.
