how to accept payment from USA if you dont have a paypal account?
currently selling an item on ebay and so far the highest bidder is from USA-item is only a fiver so far and not likely to go much higher-but person is from USA, and i am currently in a dispute with paypal so cant accept payments thro it-so if this american wins how do i get payment from him?looked at nochex but that seems only for UK people-so any idea's? my intention was if an british person won was to ask them to do a bank transfer for money but obviously from america it will incur charges costing more then item! so any idea's

A sterling cheque would be good, but Americans usually don't know how to raise one, or you can bank a US$ cheque but you will get heavy bank charges. You could also look at http://www.pppay.com/ or http://www.westernunion.co.uk/info/h...asp?country=GB.

Suggest he sends you UK cash - he should be able to lay his hands on some after all we can pick up dollars at our Post Office; alternatively do you know anyone else with paypal a/c?
