Does Anyone Know What They Are Doing New Year's Eve ?
I know it is early, but i'd like to do something different this year and get it booked in good time, so we have something to look forward to.
There will be four of us in our mid twenties (couples) trouble is we don't know what to do or where to go
Before anyone suggests it, we aren't into "swinging"
Thanks
Matt

another vote for skiing (or snowboarding at least)
I spent New Year in Chamonix last year, and will be in Tignes this year. you cannot beat it.

celebrating my first wedding anniversary
need to find a 5 star country hotel somewhere near the essex borders if anyone has any recommendations
10 of us went to the algarve for new years eve in 1999 - that was good fun. can;t remember where we stayed now but it wasn;t expensive and was certainly warmer than here!
...or if you fancy going further afield, we went to the dominican republic a few years ago. again, very enjoyable but lay off the coconut milk

I HATE New Year with a passion. It's just months of "what shall we do? Where are we going to go?" ending in a night where you can't get served at the bar and wherever you go you can't get a taxi home Ban it now!
Actually, I take some of that back. The year before last, we went to my mum's in Tenerife and went to Santa Cruz (the island's capital) and danced the night away in the main square to loads of latin bands and watched some amazing fireworks over the harbour. I actually enjoyed that New Year

I have a habit of getting very, very drunk though so the short walk doesn't normally seem so short

I plan to spend it with my friends in Rio de Janeiro. Banquet, Copacabana Beach, Samba then back for some brazilian babe booty in the jacuzzi.
Enjoy your night out in the cold with the drunken louts, scummers.
