One of the best ever.

First time I watched it was purely by accident - one of those "God nothing is on" moments. Utterly entralled with the whole thing and I remember cheering at certain scenes towards the end. (not wishing to spoil it for anyone)

Excellent casting, acting, screenplay, editing, directing.

Dark, dark film, but hell: worth watching

Like you Kieran I stumbled onto it quite by accident and it has stuck in my head ever since. I'll set this one up to be recorded

Is an all-time great, never sounded very interesting to me, but I watched it on advice from a mate, and was hooked!

There's just way too much good TV on tonight - Shawshank, Afterlife, Led Zeppelin vs. The Who all clashing at the same time....choices, choices...for a change

Heard so much about it but always managed to miss it!

Must remember to either tape or watch.

Now where's my 10 year old nephew to preset the bu££er?

My favourite ever is "Lawrence of Arabia" and no, I'm not of that orientation.

Great film.
For once a thread without one voice of dissent. Says it all.

Absolutely brilliant film! Just finished.

I know the big, brutal warder guy from somewhere else. Some Arnie film perhaps?
