Is it true that the maps are 3 years old? Will this cause any huge problems? Is it easy to update?

1. They are not new but exact age is difficult to determine as different areas are of different "vintages".
2. It will not cause "huge" problems, more annoyances when newish roads/roundabouts etc are not mapped. The re routing feature will soon get you back on track though.
3. Map updates cost but are very easy to apply (new SD card for TTGo I think)
