i remember when i was ikkle the sweets all seemed much bigger than they are now............or is it cos we have grown bigger and the sweets look smaller?

Yes they have shrunk, when they moved to metric weights....they mysteriously got small and lighter


And whats with the opening tags on individually wrapped boiled sweets....twisting the wrapping at each end not enough?

Oh and the hollow plastic lollipop sticks instead of cardboard stick

It's not only sweets. Recently I went back to visit my old primary school. The playground, which was massive, is now really small, and the field, which I remember taking aeons to run across, was less than 80 yards square.

Got to say though you seem to get a lot more white powder on your lap than you used to get, maybe they did a focus group and decided the customer wanted more powder and less refresher
