Default Shift Pattern

We are soon to have a meeting at work ref our shifts.
We currently work on a 5 week cycle:-
Week 1: 0500-1300 mon-fri 0500-1700 sat-sun
Week 2: 1300-2100 mon-fri weekend off
Week 3: 2100-0500 mon-fri 1700-0500 sat sun
Week 4: Rest
Week 5: Rest

Now a few people at work have suggested a different shift pattern however I would like to pick your brains as to a better shift pattern if you know of any.

The managment dont mind aslong as the job gets done. I work in production and take over from the next man we run 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Any good patterns you know of?

Scott

Actually, I'm not sure you can change the title, only the post title, so I've added the "f"

I work 2x12hr days, 2x12hr nights and then 4 days off.

Works as an 8 week cycle, each week moving on one day forward from the previous. 30 days leave per year + days in lieu when PH's fall on my days off.

Dave.
