Lol - yeah seems the Dualit range of combined toaster and sandwich toasters run at about that price. Mind you, why not get a £20 toaster and £20 Breville

It's not the "Talky Toaster" from the first series of "Red Dwarf" then?

A :'cos I'm not some poverty striken scumbag?

I've got a Dualit, the idea being it works and keeps working while looking timelessly stylish.
£200 isn't much when you consider it's the price of a night out. Then again you can probably buy an awful lot of KFC family buckets and 6 packs of Carling/Stella for that much.........

The UN bases it's Quality of Life index on what kind of toaster you have:

Hinari - Below the poverty line
Breville - Working Class
Dualit - Working Class with Middle Class pretensions and a Redrow home
Large stone fireplace in a 15th Century mansion - Footballer

Our next door neighbours at our old place had a Dualit. Pair of pretentious Jones's Had to have the latest/best/most stylish/most desirable everything, and yet were skint and about as friendly and personable as mud Nothing wrong with a £20 toaster, not that I have one as my cooker has a grill on it which can do very good toast, and anyway, I don't even eat toast as I follow a low carb diet

File Dualit under the same category as Audi TT's, designer clothes and having the latest mobile phone. Look at me, look at me !!!!

Dualit is hardly 'latest' they've been around forever which sort of shows how much you know.
Also care to explain how something that sits in someone's kitchen can be a 'look at me item'. Unless of course the Jones's used to bring it out onto the drive.......

Did they used to invite you in to look at their white goods?

Don't have a toaster.

Always do toast on a gas grill.

Cheers

Porsche....

...well, Siemens actually Our kettle is visually identical to the one shown here and was £17.99 by Morphy Richards instead of £100. Boils just as quick and has 4 years use under its belt so far. Style needn't carry a hefty price tag

Kettle still going strong though.
