Room booking problem
How does this work? I've checked out all the major travel sites for hotels in Phoenix AZ and have got various rates etc.
Problem is this: My flight is supposed to arrive just before 4pm, but all the hotels I look at on the web have a check in time of 3pm.. Should I just book up an assume that the room will be held for me or have I missed something obvious?
Just want to get somewhere relatively near the airport as I'm picking the hire car up the following day!

Isn't it just an earliest check in time, to give them time to clean the room after the last guests (you know, wiping the coffee mugs with the old facecloths, that sort of thing). I'm sure they won't mind you turning up at 4. Give them a call before you fly if you're concerned

You can turn up at any time after 3pm..... when you book it, they'll take credit card details...... if you don't turn up... they'll charge it!! if you do turn up.. they'll get you to sign for it!!
We did 3 weeks in the us earlier this year, and booked every night on the net before we left... didn't have a single problem the whole time!!!!
Enjoy!!

yep - as long is the room is confirmed by credit card it will be held. Only time they need to know you'll be late is if it would be late evening.

Cheers guys, I was wondering about that - I know it should work the same way as hotels over her but you never know with all the small print and whatever else!
