I'd imagine you'll be taken to court.
Expect a ban unless you're a Mason

Not imagine bud, it's a definate, twice the speed limit in a built up area,
the court will take a very dim view.

Yes 30 mph over the speed limit is an automatic ban, your 35 mph over the limit will probably see your car in the garage for at least 6 months unless you can prove that by not having a driving license other people will be caused hardship.

65 in a 30 what if a child had run out in front of you, having a bit of fun on a backroad is one thing, what you did was daft.

I know a few 30mph zones around my way that have no houses or any buildings beside them and you could quite easily sit at 60mph without causing harm. Each case has its own circumstances.

The LAW states that 30mph over the limit (What ever that may be) is an instant ban. You will be very lucky if you can plead a fine & points only.

I think you have read it wrong.
He asked what he might be looking at, i said "A ban"
I then said "If it's not a ban, it bloody well should be"

Implying that a ban should be given, do you understand

But from what 'mo mo' wrote and implying that he/she had been cought speeding, otherwise why would you post it and another thing, why say 65mph rather than just 60mph, a little precise don't you think?

i think we can all safely say we all do slightly over speed limits most of the time by this i mean slightly doing 65 in a 30 is just plain silly like people said what if kids had run out.. speeding its one of those taboo subjects yes we should'nt speed but come on this is a performance car forum so you would be inclined to think most people on here generally don't stick to speed limits ( built up areas not taken in consideration there)

when on open road well yeh put your foot down but plz in built up slow the **** down

Well since we've got a speed discussion anyway - what if you are caught doing 180mph on a motorway? always wondered

it was me driving and i know that it was a silly thing to do but its done, wot happened was i pulled away from a petrol station and give it the gas first and second and about 100-150 meters down the road there was a camera van sitting.I never got stoped or anything so i have no idea wot exact speed i was doing but i thought about 60-ish but i was doing that when i was right beside the van i have no idea wot sort of distance they need to measure the speed, so all in all yes very stupid thing to do. they can clock you from a mile away.
But i always thought anything doing twice the speed limit in a 30mph zone or 70mph zone it was an instant ban.
I know if you do 100mph or more on the motorway it's an instant ban.
At the end of the day you say you know youv'e done wrong, so well done for being honest mo mo
