Cheap fax machine - Help needed!!!
Does anyone know of a run of the mill fax machine that is cheap to run.
Our old one has finally conked out after years of service and the rolls were relativly cheap to buy.
They all seem to be bloody plain paper faxes now which is fine but the cartridges are absolutley exortionate on these things.
I have looked on E-bay and the old faxes that have roll's seem to be selling for a premium!!!
Any help much appreciated
Thanks chaps!

thermal faxes are ****e!
You wil pick up something like a panasonic UF585 plain paper fax for about £50 from ebay, toners are about 35-40 quid IIRC, 5000 sheets.
search for panafax, we have had one for years with no problems at all.

you're better off buying a decent (ie panasonic perhaps) one as the cheap ones cost a fortune for the consumables.
if you look on the web, there are various "free" fax services where faxes are emailed to you...or hook your pc up as a fax and only ever print what you need to - the rest can just be stored on your machine
