The aim of the game is to get your little chap (him upside down on the bottom of the "world") to fight and kill the monsters. You do this by placing the objects on the world in a certain sequence, they will "grow" (hence the name) and their attributes will increase. Once all objects have been placed, the little chap will start moving in his quest to kill the monsters. If you've got all items at max level then he'll win, if not, he'll get to a certain point where his progress will be halted, usually by a monster killing him.

Oh bugger, sorry about that, I was not meaning to mislead, forgot about the trees, and that you need to have them planted before the devil jumps the third time.
Oh, and check out Tontie, very cool game too
