Euro 96 theme song
When the Euro 96 was on all those years ago, the signature theme/tune i liked and have not been able to get it.
Whilst i was in secondry school, doing the compulsory music lessons we played the song using the keyboards using proper music sheets etc..
What is the tune etc... and where can i get hold of it.
sorry for a wired old one...
Cheers

Relating to what i said in the first post about me playing on the keyboards, so there must be music notes somewhere...
I think it is called: Pavanne (World Cup Theme 98)
composser: Gabriel Fauré
this might be it?

I think the song that i am after is W.C 98. but not 100% sure.
I think what im going to have to do is to see my old Music teacher and he lives just around the corner.

Any use??
"Last time an unofficial record went up against an authorised England track in such a head-on way was at the England-hosted Euro 96. Baddiel and Skinner's unofficial 'Three Lions' versus Spice Girls, Ocean Colour Scene and Ian Culloch's 'On Top Of The World'. The official England song flopped and the FA picked up on 'Three Lions' for the 1998 World Cup"

Had a look and and I think it might be Faure's 'Pavane' - that's the actual song title, a classical piece if that is what you are thinking?

No its not carnival de paris.
Thanks guys for all your input and suggestions. But i feel we are not getting any closer, this maybe because i have kind of forgotten the song and what it sounded like, so not being able to give you guys and gals the proper and accurate info about the song or theme in question.
