I feel violated...
I feel the very fabric of my privacy has been shredded beyond repair...
I feel unwashed, and disgusting...

I think you'll find that it is not technically burglary. Burglary is defined as;
"Any person who enters a building or part of a building therein, as a trespasser with the intention to commit etc....."
Seeing as the hubcaps were attached to what is described as a 'motor vehicle' and clearly not to a 'building' (as per the legal definition of a building), a charge of Burglary is inappropriate, thus making this thread complete gibberish.

I think that I would question the police on that then, Bravo. If it was taken from a yard or premises belonging to another then it could be defined as burglary. However, I can't see how it can be deemed so from a public street. In which case, it is simply a theft of a motor vehicle.

I know what you mean dpb, I actually said to my hubby that I wasn't going to replace them but he said they can aid a valve that is a little leaky??? Perhaps Moses could do with buying a new dustcap for his gob?

exactly, mine were metal too... I did look at the plastic ones but was worried that the shop wouldn't take 99p on my debit card as I didn't have cash LOL
