Why are there so many silent bits, im watching it at 0045, they've all been swearing and showing **** etc so why the need for 5 mins of silence ? what could they possibly be talking about

I was flicking back and forwards last night at 2am whilst watching uk gold and every so often there would be silence, some times just for a few seconds, and then they would also cut to pictures of the gnones lying round the other pool.
How am I supposed to concentrate on Kinga's ( . )( . )'s in the hot tub ???

The first "silence" was in memory of those who died in the first world war. The second was for the people who died in the second world war. The third, for those who died on 9/11. Fourth: 7/7. Fifth: Poor old Mavis that got run over while crossing the road.......... etc etc

The late night ones are for 2 reasons.

1) Something being said about products or other people which could potentially be libellous.

2) Something juicy they wanna use in the highlights show...
