Failed relationships & keeping in touch
Not directed at me but i have noticed that a few people now do this
Is there any people on here that do so
Excluding parents of course
But including one night stands
I personally seem to think that it all turns out messy ............. unless you get a little for "old times sake" out of it

All depends upon how you feel for those people who you have had failed relationships with, what kind of people you are dealing with and what kinda person you are too.
Nightstands cant be classed as relationships and,are nothing coz you dont feel **** all for them.If you keep in touch, you can have occasional sex i suppose but you have to make sure no one gets emotionally attached, possesive etc.
Bit long term relationships can be harsh to keep in touch sometimes coz some feelings could have developed and jealousy, sense of possession etc may show time to time.
All depends upon individuals I suppose.

***** buddies* may be the only people to keep in touch with....or else there are all sorts of emotion hang ups to deal with
If you can't make it with someone, why try and pretend to do the *friends/mates* bit You're only kidding yourself.
Be civilised enough to say *hello* if you bump into each other....but other than that...just leave it. IMHO

I've known a few sexy princesses that seem to have disappeared from the face of the planet after finding out that she wasn't fit for me. Women are always depressed when I break up with them, but a last intense love session always puts a smile on their face.
I'm a strong manly man with a sensitive side. I usually do not cry at all, but the day she was gone, I did. I was so sad that I bought some Silk Cut and smoked them all!. The only other time I've cried was when I got a horrible haircut. My hair just wouldn't cooperate!

There is no way I'm speaking to Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie or Sarah Michelle Gellar again. They are all bunny boiling nutters. Steer well clear lads!
I do keep in contact with my old flame Bella Emberg though. She is amazing. What she can do when she takes her teeth out has to be experienced to be believed.

Serious reply, depends.. largely on *how* the 'relationship' failed:
Messy/acrimonious, no. One night stands, no.
My most recent relationship, turned out we were going different places with life.. so made a grown up (!) decision that it wasn't going to work out long term. Under those circumstances, why not? Why loose a close friend just 'cos you happen to have been a bit more intimate?

I guess if it ended by way of mutal agreement and in pleasant circumstances then it may be possible to stay mates, but in most instances the history causes too much hassle. It seems a pity, particularly in long term relationships, not to end up with at least a friendship out of it. However, sometimes you have to accept that things don't always work out for the best and know which bridges to burn!
