Which travellers cheques

Anyone got any recomendations. We are going to take £300 worth of Cyprus pounds and some travellers cheques but do we take sterling TC's or Cyprus pounds?

We are staying in Limmasol.

My sister just came back from Protaras yesterday and she took TC's... the exchange rate was appalling by all accounts...
