Is it just me or does anyone else think the clamping of cars in city centres is hypocritical?

The reason for clamping, I presume, is to stop people parking in places deemed potentially dangerous or where the vehicle would cause an obstruction. Why then is said offending vehicle completely immobilised by the clampers - the punishment makes the offence worse!

Yeah, but its meant to be so inconvenient that you will never do it again

If its actually parked in a place where access is truley needed, they usually just tow it away. You get clamped if you park in a place where you shouldnt have etc.

i was looking at clamping signs about 5 mins ago, i need about 3 of them
not sure if im going to actually buy a clamp at the moment, but the car thats parked half blocking my entrance road needs to be ****en destroyed the tosser

my problem is cars which park on my site for the car lot next door, they have for years not provided proper parking for the custom.

i belive people park where this tosser has parked, purely because they have seen others do the same, ovb i have came in, seen whats going on and tried shifting them away (its affecting my buisness) but you chase 1 person away and 3 more will arrived, its sods law

the car lot is currently under redevelopment, and the plans say there providing 30 car spaces for there punters, so its tempting to hang on for a few months to see how it fares out.

still pisses me right off tho
