your opinion of these?
is it right that in todays modern multi-cultural society there should be prefertral treatment on behalf of the fact that you do not have different sexual organs?
and the fact that lots of other things can be made as (quite rightly) 'equal' yet insurance can get away with direct sexual discrimination?
Apparently it is all about risk, so by that notion does that mean if you have blonde hair it means your a worse drive on average or mabye the fact that you are above 6ft?

My point is that for a society that seems to try so hard to make everything equal near formost between the sex's, how is it possible that this has been overlooked!...

 

Apparently you're nor allowed to get in a ring with a lady and beat the **** out of her either. Hardly the modern ideal of 21st century equality.

let me guess your paying a fortune on a sh!tty car and your younger sister has a better car and paying less

course its about risk... thats like saying theyre discrimiating those who live on council estates as crime might be higher in that area.... it is about risk. face it

what I find wrong is that most households with 1 car (i.e. my parents run 1 vehicle) dad insures the car with mum on the insurance, IF my mum had an accident the log will go against my dad as its his policy and thats another hit against the men for being "bad" drivers and the women get off scot free.

 

It's a non discussion. I supppose you think it is sexist that a pension annuity for a woman pays less than an equivalent one for a man? It's because women live longer. They also drive fewer miles and therefore have fewer accidents.

 

But interestingly women have more accidents per mile than men. It's just that because they drive less miles overall it means they have less claims per policy-year...

Maybe companies should stop employing women, on the offchance they get pregnant and lose the company 6 months of time and money through their thoughtlessness.

Thats not sexist because women do get pregnant more often than men and are in a higher risk group

 

And gentlemen's clubs , and men only bars, and golf clubs who exclude women players, and still there is a gaping gap between pay for men and women doing the same job.........not to mention the numerous sex discrimination cases which come up in court related to such orgaisations as the police, the armed forces.
Its a mans world. In certain parts of THIS country, women are still treated as second to men. Old habits die hard.
Speaking for myself. I reckon I'm as good as most men, (some I wouldn't even like to be associated with !), I can do most small DIY jobs, and look after my vehicle on a day to day basis, ie change a wheel, check tyre pressures, maybe change the oil if pushed, top up the oil, water reservoirs. I feel I SHOULD do all this as a matter of course. Some women make me see red. They really let the side down with their flashing eyelashes and helpless attitude. But then again, some of you guys like that sort of thing !!
As for cheaper premiums. If you were offered them, wouldn't you take them ?
