"Surrendering your licence at the Roadside is an admission of guilt"
WHAT??
Just because you happen to have your licence for the officer to see is NOT admitting guilt .......... you are NOT surrendering it!
This step would depend if you have points or not I guess? If its clean it can help a lot to show it to the officer ..........

Poor Guy's site won't download for some reason.
I am not sure exactly what is meant by surrendering the licence, but if you produce it for the police to see, I can't see how that can be classed as surrendering.
In the days of the old type of licence which had a record of endorsements on the back pages, a policeman was not entitled to look at those pages. If he did and you had an endorsement, you could plead not guilty on the grounds that his assessment of your driving at the time could be biased. I once mentioned that to a copper who stopped me on my bike on the way to Brands and had looked at the back pages. He let me off immediately.
