Angry Have i broken a mirror or something?? Possible rant alert...

So far this month:

- Payment i sent for a synth (cash via special delivery) has been swiped and vanished off the face of the earth. was sent 3 weeks ago and still hasnt surfaced.
- An effects unit has arrived (via special delivery) to me this morning and doesnt work
- An old collectable Roland analogue synth was delivered to me this morning via DHL/parcel2go and has been dropped/smashed and the case is cracked along with some other damage to it.
- A record i sold/sent last week has gone 'missing'- again sent recorded.
-Another (new and sealed) record has been delivered to me in an unplayable state- despite 'do not bend' being on the front in big letters.

Am i seeing a pattern here or have i walked under a whole builders merchants worth of ladders in one go? or am i just going ?

Sweeping statement coming up....

Couriers/Postal services are generally immoral, inept, thieving scum.

Default post orifice / parcelfarce

AJM's diagnosis is the correct one I think.

On the up-side, I have successfully claimed for at least three items I sold on ebay, and shipped via royal mail parcels/parcelfarce, that never arrived (i.e. weeks passed by). In all cases, the item was finally delivered a week or so after I got the cheque from the PO/Parcelfarce. There systems are so **** that they have no idea whether an item has been delivered or not.

Their loss. Given the aggro and effort involved in submitting the claims, I'm sure as hell not giving the money back!

How True
Once had a credit card and pin "stolen" before I received it. Police eventually caught the bloke, turned out he was the local postman.

Not to mention the cd’s that have gone missing on the way from Amazon etc.

To the OP : quite a run of bad luck there - sorry to hear it.

For me your problems are an important reminder that the traditional 'delivery vs payment method' of buying from regular high-street shops sometimes has it's advantages...

well the amount i buy and sell is quite high so problems obviously have to be expected sometimes- the same as you get when you buy in a shop i guess... its just infuriating sometimes.

Same happened to me. Went on holiday to Amsterdam only to find that some ****** had nicked my "new" replacement credit card and gone on a shopping spree whilst I was away. Despite the fact you have to activate the damn card. Im sure it was the postie or someone in the postal service.

Simon.
