Best place for flights to Orlando from Scotland
<yank mode on>
Hi Y'all!
<yank mode off>
I'm off to Florida for the first time at the end of the summer with my g/f and was just wondering if there are any places you can recommend i check for reasonably priced flights.
I'm happy to fly from anywhere in Scotland (not many airports to choose from to be honest!) and direct flights aren't essential.
I've googled it and came up with hundreds of sites that seem to follow the same format and offer the same deals etc. What i'm wondering is if there's a site that 'regulars' use that the masses aren't aware of?
I'm needing to fly on the 15th Sept and will be away for approx 2 weeks.
Best price so far is £632 from Continental.
Can anyone help?
Cheers in advance!
James
p.s. Is it true that Sept/Oct is hurricane season over there and rains a lot?

Its possible it will rain at some point for a short while, but its still roasting and it never lasts long, its just very heavy when it does rain
Hope this helps

Been searching for flights lately trying to price up my round the world trip - was shocked to find BA were among the cheapest I could find.
Yep September is huricane season. Girl I worked with went to Florida sept last year just as it got silly season for the weather. Flights, normally go over Iceland / Greenland and down the Canadian & US coasts in case of technical difficulties on the plane - she said her plane had to go direct straight over the atlantic to try and get in before the hurrican did. Got to the hotel to find half the trees on the street had blown over onto the road...

Thanks for the replies guys.
Yes it seems the more i delve the more i find out about Sept and Oct being the time of year that hurricanes are born. Doh!
A colleague of mine says that he had to fly to Washington and drive to Orlando as his flight was re-directed last year at the same time.
I'm wondering if Butlins isn't such a silly option now...
