The Ring taxi went off this weekend
Just got back from a fantastic weekend at the Ring, with the big bonus of us all returning with undamaged cars, which is more than can be said for one of the Ring taxis which went into the barrier just before Brunchen on sunday afternoon
Luckily everyone onboard looked OK
Just proves that it doesn't matter how well you know the track, it can still bite!!

Mixed reports on this, some say they had just stopped to offer some assistance to a biker. And no, it was the bloke, who I heard had completely overcooked it to almost a dead stop at breidsheid.....

Gary, was reading your post about brakes earlier. Two of us went through a brand new set of red stuff ceramics each in about 12-15 laps, my ebc discs were totally warped by 15 laps aswell, as were the other chaps standard discs. I know you have an STI, and they are better, but its so frustrating that the brakes are so damn feeble!!!

Dunno who the guy is who drives the other taxi, but I had a moment with him two weeks ago.
I was just pottering into Adenau Forst when I saw him in my mirrors, so I indicated over to the right and came off the throttle gently to let him past. I was just hugging the right side of the track to let him take the line on the middle left hander of the sequence when I glanced in my mirror again to see him fishtailing across the road. He got it together in time but it really shook me up, you dont expect those guys to make mistakes like that. Don't know what he thought he was doing, perhaps he just lost concentration.
And I did 11 laps whilst there and have almost gone through a set of brand new red stuff ceramics. They don't last!
