Scoobynet myths/tales
OK as it says.
I unfortunately read a post in general which involved a statement saying basically that when using jump leads and you place both leads on the battery it fry's the ECU.
So I've decided to start this thread with a view to getting as much subaru mythical ****e in here as possible.
When using jump leads, putting both leads on the battery terminals can fry the ECU.
Never use supermarket fuels, otherwise you're engine will blowup.
Always add octane booster to the fuel, otherwise your engine will blowup.
Fit the magic CockLink, to help prevent engine blowups.
Drive around listening to you engine periodically via Det Cans to help detect future blowups?
Do the "Famous" oil change procedure - you know the one which involves you dancing around the car in an anticlockwise direction backwards.
Again like the rest of the ****e, failure to do so will result in an engine blowup.
I'll await further additions, but in the meantime I've got work to do.

Although I've very briefly scanned through the "Book of Crap", I'm after more mythical crap instead of spotty teenagers who don't drive stating "Twisties" comments.

Subarus are giving jap cars a bad name for reliability! There's so many stories of overtuned import bangers doing just that and going bang.
It puts me off one anyway, that and chavs hooning round in them.

"These engines are bullet proof", so excuse me whilst I go and mod the ****e right out of it!
This then brings me back to my original post where you need such devices as CockLinks and laptops plugged into the diagnostic port monitoring the car every quarter second for some bollox knocking on your window.
And another diagnotic cable shoved up your *** monitoring for any additional vibrations which might make your engine blowup.
Oh, and don't forget about those fecking ear defenders which are attached to your engine

OK everyone,
I've decided to go home now, hope the car doesn't blowup though.
Maybe I'll do a 3 clockwise dances around whilst facing backwards for good measure.
Followed by 6 disarms and 5 rearms of the alarm for add safety!
Keep up the good work, I expect plenty of ****e to be posted when I return in the morning.
Hopefully Mr Lewis will also add his tuppence worth in here too.
