What do i do ???
Hi guys,
I could do with a little help
I've got to go into the centre of London tommorrow. Well East Putney to be exact.
I've never been to London before bar for Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
Im from Shropshire. Any suggestions of which method of transport to use. I can drive so far and get on the train, tube etc so far along or drive all the way.
Can the people on here point me in the right direction of what to do with be the quickest way of going there and coming back home.
Ive got to be in East putney by 1:00pm
Regards,
Ron Jon

TBH RonJon, I used to live only 20 miles out, North West of London. I never, ever drove in much further than the gyratory system. But then again, I am a wimpy girly. I always used to drive to the most convenient tube station and then train in. It takes the hassel out of finding a parking spot and THEN, paying the exhorbitant parking fees. As for the best station? Check on here on google? or if you have a a map, see where the best one is. Good Luck.

If you are East Putney, then (if you were to drive) then I would suggest the following - assuming a modicum of map reading ability.
M40, M25, M4, A4 & off @ Hammersmith B'way. Fulham Palace Road towards Fulham & then follow signs for Putney. Over Putney Bridge, turn left & you're essentially in East Putney. As a navigational exercise, very simple. It should take you (at that time of day) no more than about 45 mins from the end of the M4.
