Thumbs up Speciality Restaurants

I was invited out on Friday for a meal with a few colleagues and friends.

We went to a Mongolian Restaurant where lots of things (infact everything) gets BBQ'd but the aromatic spices and veggies you get to accompany the meal were amazing.

I have to admit that i was a little nervous of having a sheeps head dumped on the table but nothing could be further from the truth. For those who havent been to restaurant such as this you must try and visit one.

Great meal, great value, great atmosphere and service. I can only summise that its a bit of a cross between your traditional BBQ stuff but mixed in with chinese / oriental cooking.

Has anyone been to any other speciality type restaurant, i think i'm hooked

I went to a Mongolian about 15 years ago in London, it was very good. Been to a South African BBQ restaurant as well, deer and wildebeast on the menu as well as osterich and other masi mara type animals.

Everything gets BBQ'd? The old "Mongolian BBQ' restaurants that I used to go to, everything got flash-fried on a griddle, after you'd mixed up your own chopped ingredients. Is this the same, or something completely different (sounds like the latter)?

(PS, I can guarantee that it's nothing like the food in Mongolia, unfortunately )

I went to a mongolian about a month ago called Temujin. was pretty tasty, u choose what raw food you want from the meats, fish, shark, etc. then spices. it all gets slapped on a big round table to cook along with everyones, then you get it back to munch, was only about 7 quid for all you can eat

theres one in nott'm never been and don't remember the name,

it advertises in trent fm ,

and its speciality are using meats which you would never touch in a life time,

lets just say if the health inspector goes and makes a complaint about a certain thing on the table, they could get away with it saying thats the menu
