I loved a girl once. Didnt really care about getting into her knickers. but of course, im too nice a person to go out with anyone. she likes a guy who says he'll pick her up and instead gets stoned, leaving her 5miles out of town alone. But, of course, he loves her.

I think love is the thing you start feeling for a girl just before she rips your heart out of your ****! But like my murphys, I'm not bitter.
Another question would be, is it harder to fall in love when you've been in love a few times?

Its an illness that completely fries your brains and your emotions to bits, wipes out your ability to think rationally or to make rational decisions about anything, and can make you physically ill. Usually set off by a concentrated assault on your physical and emotional senses, overwhelms you pretty quickly.
In the very worst cases there is absolutely no cure and sadly, I know of people who have given up and taken their own lives as a way out.
Sad business.

It is when it all starts to seem a bit pointless and you're just going through the motions. Think its just a mild reaction to approaching 30 and still wasting time with idiot girls. Anyway, rant over.

love is when you give your heart and soul to a person, always putting them first and would be willing to walk over hot coals for them. Then having a general realisation that other person takes advantage of you, doesnt care about you as much as you thought, lie and let you down all the time and generally make you feel totally sh$t about yourself. But they tell you they love you and that is supposed to make it alright.

All these replies and nothing possitive to say about it at all!
From my experience, I had my first dose at the tender age of 16. Brilliant. Then I got fcuked right over. Next girl said she loved me and as a knee jerk reaction I said "i love you too". Big mistake. End up hurting her massively when we finished cos I was supposed to love her. Actually, on reflection, this has now happened at least another 3 or 4 times. Fast forwards till now, finally decide to lower the defences and FEEL for some tart and she then dumps me (after a £350 ring for xmas) stating she just doesn't have time for a relationship. Funny really as I've been hearing reports that she was seeing someone before she dumped me. No wonder she was busy. To compound matters I work with her and she's one of my bosses!!!
So on reflection, appart from the first time, love has been a bit of a waste of time. We still go back for more though don't we.
Anyway, upwards and onwards and all that.

lets go deeper into subject.Is love selfish or selfless?I am asking so coz i have been loved by someone who fitted me in according to his convenience when it suited him.Not when i needed him.So, was i wrong to need him and should you not expect anything from the people who claim to love you?

i've been in love with the same person for around 3 years now, and i've always been too worried to say anything cus we have a very good friendship together
although i have always offered to look after her under many circumstances she has never took me seriously. and to top it off she has my frickin iRiver
and to top it off im seeing a ****ing psychopathic weirdo at the mo who constantly tells me she loves me but to be honest i cant even stand to speak to her at times which i should have taken advice from Scoobynet as i was told on here she would turn into a psycho lmfao
