What LCD TV for about £800
I dont have much clue on these, so tips appreciated.
Ideally want a 32" bu might be pushing it at that budget.... Want to stick with Philips / Toshiba etc, rather than Goodmans crap
Ebay seems to be a minefield or repaired stuff

Was in the market for one of these a few weeks back - ended up buying a Panasonic CRT as in the £800 - £1200 price range, picture quality of LCD tv's is nowhere near that of CRT. Even more expensive plasma screens are sh!te in comparison - picture on the new panasonic is stunning from dvd with an rgb scart. meant to be better with component video input (it's a TX32PD50 - rrp is £1200+. Got it for £600 from sound and vision online )
Advice I've been given (from some pretty clued up people) is to stick with good quality CRT's for the moment, unless form / space is more important than function. From the evidence I've seen, this is good advice.

I hear you cefski but 1080i or 720p on a HDTV ready LCD looks better to my eyes.. You can get a 32" one of these for £160 more than your CRT these days.
I've got a pixel plus CRT in the front room so it will interesting to see how my 26" LCD (smaller as it's for a study) compares when it arrives.
