Sat Nav For CSL
First idea was Tom Tom, but I have no cigar lighter and with all the noise in the car I doubt I would hear it.
I'm skint after spending all my money on the car so needs to be cheap!
Must do all of Europe.
I think this looks the best

What you guys reckon?

If your skint then I don't understand where the idea of spending over £1000 on sat nav comes from, tomtom is under £400. I guess the defination of skint is different for an M3 driver from a scooby driver

Well basically it will all be on overdraft so the less the better.
I'd be more than happy to buy a Tom Tom, but with no cigar lighter to plug it into things arn't looking to good!
But your right 1k is a load of money for me, but then so it the amount of petrol I will waste driving around at 2am in Germany looking for my hotel

Ohhhhh seems I do have a cigar lighter, it's just blanked off with a plastic stopper rather than having the lighter in there.
So tom tom could well be back on the cards
Result!

So you've gone for the CSL Top choice. Not had the pleasure of a ride in one yet, but on a recent trip to the Nurburgring I saw many being driven hard. The induction noise & exhaust chatter as one races past is superb. Pic of a CSL in action here.

Also have a look at the Navman ICN650 which has full street level mapping of Western Europe. www.navman.co.uk
I recently bought one of the ICN 6xx range, I looked at the pda range of satnav's and nealy all were not loud enough and not clear enough.
The Tomtom Go and Navman ICN 6xx both have clear and loud audio so you can leave your music on. I went for the Navman as the screen is one of the clearest and brightest I have come across. Both use the tele-atlas 3D maps.
Cheers

This guy knew his stuff and was saying he had 2 degrees of negative camber set into the geometry. Great for track days...but he said anymore than that and it was a b1tch on the road - tram lining etc. Also mentioned the Michellin Pilots were 'interesting' in the wet

Yes I have AP brakes at the front, I've kept the negative camber at the front, and also done the rears now aswell.
I'm yet to try it in the wet, I have a VW Golf for the rain
