Not having been to see drag racing for about 16 years I'd forgotten just how fast these cars and bikes really are. The word awesome is used all too often but in this case is fully justified.

To see a man and machine hitting 290mph in 4.91 secs is just amazing. The ground shakes, your whole body shakes in fact as they blast away from start line. Even the bikes were hitting well over 200mph in just over 6 secs.

Cant wait now til the next big meeting in September.

Well worth a trip for anyone who's never been. You'll be amazed.

Anyone else threre yeterday as I saw loads of scoobs in the car parks.

I was there for the full weekend and saw a Top fuel dragster hit 308 mph in a 1/4 of a mile!!!!! Very quick cars and bikes and you must have to be a "Head the ball" to pilot a top fuel drag bike!!!

Wasn't there this time but have been lots in the past - agree with Chip, awesome machines which the noise of a TF dragster can't be described in words
