You can actually buy RC cars which are able to be setup specifically for drifting. Think there are some videos to be downloaded from this site somewhere - I use a Nitro Yokomo GT4, rather than electric so never really checked it out.

you know i was in matalan a while back and i saw them tiny little rc racer things for about £8
bought one for a laff, removed the rear tyres and used it to slide around the office desk, i dont think the controls were precise enough for drifting
car met its maker when i put the little thing through the carwash on a £6 topwash with hotwax
