ZZ Top
Just recieved a CD in the post of an album I used to have on vinyl.
You know, the 30cm black disks.
Brings back a lot of memories from the eighties, esp. the videos that used to accompany "Eliminator"...
I still think though that the LPs had the edge on sound quality, if not durability. And here speaks a guy who has broken a fair few CDs.
Anyroads, does anyone know what Zizi are up to now?
I see Velvet Revolver are touring this year in the UK.
Would have loved to have seen G'n'R, Led Zep, AC/DC, Marillion live but was always skint / busy at the wrong time.
Still managed UFO, MSG, Scorpions and a few others at Glasgow Apollo though.

MSG are touring with Yngwie Malmsteen. I'll be seeing them in Wolverhampton on 31 May.

I saw them with, I think, Gary Barden (?) and then Graham Bonnet (pissed out of his head).
It was a while ago.

ZZ Top, seen them loads (before el-iminator came out or they were on The Tube), one of the best live bands around
Roumor is that they will be over for a tour in October this year, provisional dates here (for the hardcore fans):

That was the one! I remember sliding down to the footwell on the way out, as my girlfriend who was driving insisted on having "Everything I Do...." blasting out as we sat in the queue to get out of the carpark, for two hours, with all these heavy bearded guys looking on...

Billy Idol - bells ringing. Thunder - sort of bells, but I don't know WTF they are, so might have fallen asleep during lots of headbanging around me. I don't remember going to any Bon Jovi concerts.
Gimme a couple of days (and a PC, LOL), I might find a photo or two of the concert. IIRC it was called something like "Recycler", and there was a big crane that picked them up and dumped them into a machine ??

OOooooooo. I was at that one too. IIRC, the day started out quite grey but turned into a scorcher. I know I got burnt to a cinder. We stayed in the local THF hotel and one of the bands (can't remember who) took over the bar. I managed to get a fair few drinks out of them

I've been a big fan since they appeared on The Tube
I've never seen them live but I've been to the town that my favourity track is named after, La Grange! It looks like something out of Dukes of Hazzard.
