Default Buying & laying decking !

Can you buy a kit with full instructions from anywhere ?

Or do I have to design the layout myself & work out what materials I need ?

Was just hoping for something fairly simple for a table & chairs but that will look nice !

Cheers

Paulk

I nicked a couple of pallets and laid the decking on them after treating them, looks fantastic, piece of **** to lay and is moveable (has to be as its over drain covers)

You want decking? that can be arranged!

Built a 6x8 deck base with help a few weeks back. In short:
- Clear land. (including 4 trees )
- Sink corner holes about 12"-18".
- Build basic frame with uprights concreted in and outside frame.
- Add cross members to distribute weight.

I left it at this point as I was sitting a shed on top of it so no need for the full deck, it would simply be a case of laying deck over the top though.

I would suggest planning and re-planning. Homebase sell decking in bits so its a pick and mix and build to your own specifications.

Hope this helps!

p.s. Drop POC a PM, he's doing this sort of thing all the time now!

So he's moved on from selling second hand cars and jewellery down the market then!

Fulham,

Check out your local timber merchants - better selection than B&Q usually, there are various sizes of pre-cut kits available, but depends on what your local place stocks - theres is one just outside of Redhill on the A23 to Crawley that stocks some of this stuff.

Was tempted myself, but its not a cheap undertaking.

Good luck,

Alex
