Someone reversed into my daughters n/s rear quarter on her Clio. Other driver has admitted liability and estimate for repair is over £1200.

If the value of the car is less than repair cost what happens? Car is perfectly drivable and I could have a good go at repairing it myself.

Your daughters insurers may just write the car off, however why dont you ask them for a cash settlement and get it repaired yourself for cheaper?

Would it not be the other drivers insurance co. who would write the car off? She is only insured 3rd party.
