GUNNER

Just started to spruce up the outside of my Bungalow,have raked out crack's to a good depth and filled with morter mix,but the general existing paint is dirty and on the north side there is a tinge of green in place's.Now this come's off with stiff brush and hosepipe but should i be using some sort or watered down patio cleaner when washing down the wall's before new paint?,also which is best type of paint smooth or textured finish at moment it's smooth. thank's Mike..
