Default Whats the formula for converting kw to hp

???

I used to know this but have forgotton it & i am in the middle of doing a report & i cant remember

Used to have a program as well that would convert various calculations but seem to have lost that also

if you click on the address bar of your internet browser and type in www.google.com or www.yahoo.co.uk etc. (they call them 'search engines') then type in 'convert kw hp' then that might help you. For example I did and got the following: http://www.wentechnology.com/unipowe...tors/kw_hp.asp

Power (kW) = Power (HP) x 0.7457

Power (HP) = Power (kW) x 1.341

But what about PS?

Also depends if you are american ... they seem to be able to cram many more horses in the ISO std kw

I seem to remember that "PS" which is short for Horse Power in German, is measured when the engine is not driving ancillaries such as alternators etc.

Its a dim memory from the past though.
