Default Going Grey

Have noticed a few Grey hairs popping through since I was about 29 (now 34), just considering my options,

1/ Go Grey slowly, not quite ready for distinguished.

2/ Aquire some 'Just for Men' and have a guilty secret, why not all women do it !

3/ Shave it all off (my head that is, for Saxo Boys benefit), not an option due to my square head and my ears, which are ok with hair but a bit ludicrous without.

Your thoughts ?

Option 1. I'm starting to go grey at 27. Just a few hairs for now, but more and more are coming.

Option 3 makes you look scary to the women.

Option 2 my mate has took. Looks awful, you can never be sure what he is going to look like. If you do option 2 you have to do it religously, to the extent that you are going to give yourself a phobia about greyness. Sooner or later you are going to slip up, someone will notice, and they will take the p*ss something horrid.

Distinguished it is mate.

Nothing wrong with a few grey hairs. My hubby had black hair now specked with grey and he looks just as good.

Had grey in mine since I was 21!!!!

Been various lengths and colours since - not too sure how much grey there is now to be honest, but it's gotta be loads. Currently sporting collar length mess of choppy highlighted birds-nestesque straw. Ladies like it and although I'm not hiding the grey per sé it's lost in the lights.

Wouldn't recommend the JFM route - it looks flat and like a just for fun wig. I tried it once after a spell in 1996 as an Axl Rose lookalike..

Yeah, really.

There are decent dye jobs out there, the thing is you only notice the bad dye jobs, jet black with grey sideboards.
Robbie Williams has been going grey for years, but people only notice Macca's awful colour.

There are decent dye jobs. But the prob is that you have to do it again and again and again.

You cannot wait for it to show, its not like women with their hair. When their roots start to show they can wait a while to get it done again. As soon as the grey shows, its all over, people will notice. Once they know there is not a lot of point (imo).

Depends, different people have different thoughts on that.

A decent dye job will look good. Will it look better than natural? Only you can say for yourself.

Just become a silver fox, naturally.

I've been getting the odd grey hair coming through since I was 23. 9 years in my colour isn't much different.

Just don't dye it - you'll look a proper idiot

I'm 31 and have a fair few grey hairs. During the winter it's a bit more noticable as I let my hair grow a bit, but even still, I'm not overly bothered. Right now I'm sporting a nice grade 1 all over and so you'd have to look very close to see the grey, and the only people who get that close are Rose and Lily and they don't seem to mind at all.

I started going grey a few years ago and vowed I'd not dye my hair and I'm sticking to that vow.

Just face it - you're getting old

At the end of the day, its not going to impair your pulling power, just your self-esteem - so learn to live with it.

It is unseemly for a gentleman to make use of hair products, dyes and potions that are meant for a lady. Hair dye and cheek blusher is the province of the homosexual.

What gets me is the mutant nature of these greys. They always seem to grow quicker than the rest of your hair and stick out at weird angles

Are there too many for you to just pluck with a pair of tweezers?

I started going grey at 18 I either had a hard youth, or it was hereditary (yes, it was the latter ).

Doesn't bother me now, didn't bother me then. I tend to have a No.1 or No.2 every three or four weeks now, but for a long time I still had long hair with the grey (silver ) in it.

Would never go for the Just for Men look as a) it looks bad and b) I'm sure it ruins your lip sync when talking

Best to just ignore it. Why try to make yourself look something that you are not?

Many people say it looks better like that anyway.

Men look good with grey hair, well, to me they do but then I'm an old codger...

Think George Clooney, he gets nicer the greyer he gets.
